Gaines Family Foundation Prize in Engineering

 
Up to $5,000 per year to students enrolling in a college engineering program in fall 2017.

 

To qualify an applicant must:

 

  • Be a Jewish high school student living in the Lehigh Valley
  • Have demonstrated potential for success in engineering
  • Have been accepted to a college or university, with the intent to enroll in an engineering program

 

What to Submit:

 

  • An essay (500 words or fewer) highlighting educational interests, and career plans
  • Two letters of recommendation from teachers, guidance counselors and/or religious leaders
  • Copy of a recent transcript

 

Merit awards (non needs-based) of $1,000 are available. If requesting a needs-based scholarship, please include a college financial aid application.

Martin Philip Memorial Scholarship

 
The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to be used toward post high school educational expenses.

 

To qualify, an applicant must:

 

  • Be a Jewish high school student residing in the Lehigh Valley
  • Have participated in community service and/or school activities
  • Have been accepted to a college, university, community college, yeshiva, vocational or technical school

 

To apply:

 

  • Send a written essay (500 words or fewer) highlighting interests and future plans
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers, guidance counselors, community members and/or religious leaders
